Somali Girl,Constant Fernweh.

Bonjour, Howdy, Guten Tag, Namaste, Salaam, Merhaba, Olá, Ni Hau or the good ol’ How Do You Do! Either way, I’m here to say Hello from good old London town, a city I’ve grown attached to for 22 years of my life.

Its true. I’m a Muslim, a female and single like a pringle. The social stigma associated with these things means for my own safety, I shouldnt be doing much travelling alone and I toats get that. I really do. But heck, I’m the eldest of alot of kids, have a problem delegating anything to anyone else and want to do everything, my way. My mum calls it stubborn. I call it persistent. Obdurate. Even strong-willed. But hey, it makes me very vigilant and attentive of everywhere I am and everything i do.

I love travelling. I live for new heart wrenching thrills, the blood coursing through my body in the midst of doing something crazy, the new cultures,or challenging myself to something totally gross. It’s crazy to think there’s a whole world out there with people living so differently to you, that all came into the world naked as hell and yet their peripheral vision of life is a stark contrast to my norm. Fascinates me. And without a shadow of a doubt, I intend to explore.

Welcome to my world.

  1. Hi there! Looking at this post reminds me of my previous roommate!

He always kept talking about this. I’ll forward this information to him.

Fairly certain he will have a good read. Many thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks Frank. I’m definitely getting better. Let me know what you think compared to my most recent post. Your bluntly honest opinion is always appreciated!
